Thin Film Deposition
Third Floor Materials collectively has over 50 years of experience designing and building thin film deposition tools for both commercial processes and academic research. We have experience with DC/RF magnetron sputtering, plasma assisted molecular beam epitaxy, pulsed laser deposition, resistive and e-beam evaporation, metal-organic vapor phase epitaxy and chemical solution deposition. These techniques allow us to offer coating services on a wide range of substrate materials and shapes.
Third Floor Materials can develop custom coating processes and deliver very small batches for prototyping. Previous customer projects have ranged from deposition of transparent conductors to the development and deposition of tailored work-function surfaces on patterned substrates.
